Should You Reupholster Your Kitchen Banquette Before Trying to Sell Your Home? Check Out This Great Advice!

Last updated 27 days ago

Tim McKeough of The New York Times Home & Garden answers the question of whether or not you should reupholster your kitchen banquette before trying to sell your home in his article ‘Market Ready’.  The article discusses the benefits you can receive from reupholstering and when you should consider reupholstery. The article quotes Gordon Roberts, managing director at Warburg Realty who says “Oftentimes banquettes have a lot of food stains on them, or kids have been standing on them. They can just look really beat up. That can be a distraction if the rest of the kitchen is showing well.” In that case, Mr. Roberts suggests reupholstering the banquette because “it’s a relatively inexpensive thing to do, and it will freshen a kitchen up”.

Check out the full article here at The New York Times for more advice on when the time is right to reupholster the banquette in your kitchen.
